Eye opening

Today marks 100 years exactly since the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. This event is largely attributed as a major precursor to the first World War conflict between the Central and Allied coalitions. But of course this cataclysmic event we know as the Great War where millions upon millions lost their lives pales in comparison to a bunch of homosexuals and transgenders creating civil disturbances. At least according to Tumblr.

Same-sex marriages are Christian marriages.

That’s the message Presbyterian Church USA just sent (via micdotcom)

Just goes to show how far the Presbyterian Church will go to remain in the public’s good graces. Any church that will ignore God’s attitudes where it sees fit is a church you ought to stay away from. Furthermore there are plenty of natural marriages that aren’t Christian as God is not the focus. Any marriage that places love above God or oneself above God is not a Christian marriage.

J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers

“Indignation is the default position of  certain people on civic discourse.”

Whats happening in Iraq is of no surprise to those knowledgeable of military conflicts throughout history. When you put a timetable of your involvement you are essentially declaring your own defeat. All the opponent needs to accomplish is outlasting your commitment to the conflict and a win is secured by default. Regardless of his own losses. And because we now have leadership in the United States that cares more about appearances rather than realities we see the chaotic remains of their ineptitude.
