Archives For british politics

Great op-ed on the destruction of the personal beliefs and feelings at the hands of far left minions. It appears those on the far left have replaced faith in a higher being with their own post-modern illiberal religion which can’t consist of those who value free thinking. Little do they know that these continuing infringements on peoples consciences could have dire effects in the future when the inevitable backlash hits. The fact that a pretty liberal individual who happens to have a belief in God was consistently hounded by the left and press while other candidates were not having their faith questioned is appalling. I hope Mr. Farron is able to find some peace now that he is no longer in the crucible of 21st century post modern politics.

“Socially and morally conservative opinions are treated as phobias and heresies.” This appears to not only be an English phenomena as it is prevalent across all Western countries. “Sorry, but  the market just isn’t a substitute for morality  and human decency.” I concur with this sentiment.

Interesting perspective as always from Mr. Hitchens. He certainly has the ability to bring historical precedence and past policies people have long forgotten into today’s discourse. Certainly a claim good be made that the current form of democracy is no longer working adequately and ought to be re-examined. I too feel that the complacency on the part of the masses is in part to blame for the heightened tension between government and people. Macron has a tough task which he clearly is not capable of doing. Le Pen might be knocked down but her movement will continue to grow as the discontent builds. So much uncertainty in the air. These temporary fixes will only last so long.
